2019 David Y. Gin Award – Dr. Jiaoyang Jiang

Professor Jiaoyang Jiang, Assistant Professor of Drug Discovery at the University of Wisconsin Madison, has wont the 2019 David Y. Gin new Investigator Award for outstanding contributions to research in carbohydrate chemistry by scientists in the first seven years of their independent career.

Prof. Jiang earned her BS in chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2004. Subsequently she carried out her Ph.D. research at Brown University under the direction of David Cane. Following postdoctoral studies with Suzanne Walker, she began her independent career at Madison in 2013.

Prof. Jiang’s research focuses on the chemical biology of protein O-GlcNac modification.
