Dr. Tiehai Li has rapidly established a distinctive research program at the interface of carbohydrate chemistry and chemical glycobiology since launching his independent research group at the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2019. He has developed innovative methodologies for the efficient synthesis of biologically important glycans and glycoconjugates, strategically applying these tools to advance carbohydrate-based therapeutics and vaccine development. Among his 69 total publications, more than 40 papers have emerged from his independent career, demonstrating both rapid productivity and growing scientific impact.
